From our Pastor . . .

June 17, 2011

Dear Friends,

Just saying “Thank You” for the warm and wonderful send off on
June 12th, seems so inadequate.  We were quite simply overwhelmed by
all your kind words, thoughts, and gifts.  The added gifts of the photo
album and the scrapbook with personal letters were especially
meaningful.  We’ve gone through them several times, reliving precious
memories, and they are already treasured keepsakes.  They will be
proudly displayed in our new home!

You have blessed us far more than you will ever know these past eleven
years!  Time has passed so quickly and it is difficult to say goodbye.  We are comforted by the
fact that we will be relatively close and expect to see you from time to time and we want to
again extend an invitation to come to Huntington and see us.  We treasure our friends and
love company!

Many years ago, when I was a candidate to be called as pastor here at First Presbyterian, I remember one member of the Search Committee remarking that Licking County was a wonderful place to raise a family.  I can certainly testify to that!

Newark and Licking County have been a wonderful place to live.

All of you have made it a very difficult place to leave.

With much warmth and love and affection in Christ,

John, Faith, Johnny, Hannah, Danny and Abby

Update:  Pastor John has moved with his family to Huntington, West Virginia.  Blessings to them in their new home!

Our new, Interim Pastor is The Rev. Dr. Richard D. Ellsworth, of Hebron, Ohio.  He also serves as State Chaplain for the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Welcome, Pastor "Rev" Ellsworth!
